When Sparrows Fall
Miranda Hanford, a widow with 6 children has a dilemma; she is stuck in a legalistic, cult-like church. The pastor knows secrets about her and she fears the secrets will cause her to lose her children. After an accident her brother-in-law steps in to help her out. Miranda and Jack both have secrets that they are afraid will destroy their chances at any kind of relationship.
When Sparrows Fall by Meg Mosely is a story of fear, courage, and triumph. I felt this was a really good read. At times I just got frustrated thinking how does anyone live in this kind of fear but after a while I began to understand. The book was enjoyable but somewhat predictable. There were a few surprises that I didn’t see coming. I was glad to see Miranda work through her fears and become triumphant. Unfortunately there are religions out there that try to control the people of their “churches” but thankfully this book brings out true Christian love among people and shows that Christianity is a choice given freely.
Overall I would recommend this book to anyone who really likes a good love story and an easy read. It was heartwarming and very touching.
