The Final Summit
In The Final Summit written by Andy Andrews, David Ponder is a “traveler” who is assigned the task to lead a group of travelers in a final summit to try to save mankind. They must answer a question correctly in order to determine the fate of mankind. Will it be possible for them to do this?
I really enjoyed this book. It has some interesting historical figures and facts that I found fascinating. Although, in some parts I seemed to lose interest in the talk between the characters because I felt there was too much information that wasn’t really pertinent to the story and I found myself just wanting to get through to the point and the answer to the question.
The writer really made the characters come to life. I could picture myself sitting in the room where the summit was held. I could visualize the furniture, the people, and the ambiance of the room. I could hear the people talking and coming to life in my head. I am a very visual person so it is always a plus for me when an author can draw me into the book this way.
The book brought forth some really good self-help advice and information. Some really good points to help one cope with different situations in real life were presented. I was really disappointed in the answer to the question even though it is good advice I would never imagine it to be the answer to mankind’s problems. I feel that Jesus Christ is the one and only answer in our lives.
Overall, I would suggest this book to others with the opinion that it has some good ideas and advice but still missing the point.
This book was provided to me for free by booksneeze.com for a honest review.
