Thank you for stopping by my blog. Lately I have been reviewing books and haven't had as much time to scrap. Hopefully soon I'll get back to scrapping and creating some new files. Thank you for your patience. I have made files available at absolutely no charge. I do this for fun. I am learning the wonderful Make The Cut (MTC) program and trying to improve my skills. Most of the files have been created from free coloring sheets online. You will need MTC software in order to cut these files. Please use these files for your personal use only and if you want to share them with others please direct others to my blog. I hope you enjoy these files. Comments are always appreciated. If you are not a follower please consider doing so. I have lots of new files that I want to add over the next few months.
PLEASE DO NOT USE MY FILES AS YOUR OWN AND DO NOT POST THEM ELSEWHERE. IF YOU WANT TO SHARE MY WORK WITH OTHERS PLEASE DIRECT THEM TO MY BLOG. THANK YOU
Jesus Calling Creative Coloring & Hand Lettering by
Sarah Young is an adult coloring book with a slight twist. It is slightly
different than other coloring books that I have seen or that I have had.
I will start with the quality of the book itself. The pages
are very nice and thick. It is a faith based book as the title suggests. The
cover is very nice with foil accents and a slight tooth. The pages are perforated
if you want to tear them out. They are printed on both sides so if you like to
use markers that may be an issue for you.
Now for the uniqueness of it at first I was a little
confused then I read the first page like I should have to begin with. There are
pages with quotes that are very lightly printed almost like grayscale. At first I thought why in the world would
they print the script so lightly then I read the instructions. It is so you can trace it and learn how to do
hand lettering to get practice. Then it made sense to me that is what is
different about this book it teaches you to do the hand lettering along with
the coloring and you get to meditate on God’s Word as you relax and color.
There are a lot of birds, flowers, some fish, different
animals, a few mandalas, and some scenery pictures. Most look to be hand drawn
and not computer generated. I think
pencils or water based markers will work well in this coloring book. I haven’t
tried but I think even water colored pencils will probably work ok too.
This is a lovely coloring book and if you love all things
coloring it will make a nice addition to your stash. I received this book from
booklookbloggers.com at no charge in exchange for an honest review.
I've had people ask about making donations to my blog. If you would like to leave a donation please feel free to, it would be greatly appreciated. You can make your donations via PayPal. Thank you all for your kind words. I hope you are enjoying the files.
