The Beginner’s Bible: Holy Bible KJV is a children’s hard
covered bible. I would recommend it for children up to about 10 or 11. It is
very difficult to find a KJV children’s bible. While I’m not strictly a KJV
reader our church uses KJV so I really want to get my child used to reading it
along with other easier to read versions. I was thrilled to find this one.
Pros: It has easy to read font for children who are learning
to read. The bible has the usual Beginner Bible characters. They are cartoonish
and very animated looking with lots of bright colors. It is very visually
appealing to kids. There is a presentation page at the beginning. And it has a concordance
at the end. It is a reference edition. I
wouldn’t say it gives any kind of study guide or material it just leads you to
other bible verses that apply to the scripture you are reading. The pages are
pretty quick compared to adult bibles making them less likely to be torn. There
are 10 double sided, colored pages throughout the bible depicting various bible
stories.
Cons: The only con I can think of is that the cover makes it
heavy and makes it feel a bit bulky especially for smaller children. I think we will use this one mostly at
home. The heavier cover makes it more
durable I’m sure.
If you are looking for a KJV bible for your little one I
would highly recommend this one. I am so
glad we have it among our collection. I’m sure my little one will use it for
many years to come.
I received this bible at no charge from booklookbloggers.com
in exchange for an honest review.
